**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to join our team. The Purchasing Agent will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, products, and services essential for our operations.
**Duties:**
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with company objectives
- Identify reliable suppliers and negotiate terms and conditions
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Monitor inventory levels and participate in inventory control activities
- Analyze market trends to make informed purchasing decisions
**Requirements:**
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management, inventory control, and production planning
- Familiarity with Sage 50, or similar purchasing software
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
